Below please read the letter of thanks we received from Jane Lang from Chalkwell Infant School after their recent visit to SDRS.
Firstly, a very big thank you to you for organising four very successful visits for our school over the past few weeks. The children really enjoyed their visits and came back with very positive responses. Their teachers were full of praise too. The children were made to feel at home, were engaged by your stories and artefacts, loved exploring the building and the features they had been taught would be there and enjoyed tasting the food. Please pass this email on to the other helpers as we are very grateful to everybody for all that they did to make the visit such a success.
I have attached some photos for you as requested. I will also be posting some work through the door of the synagogue that the children have done just to show you what they learnt and what they thought of the visit. We hope you enjoy them.
Apologies for not giving you any feedback earlier. One of the teachers mentioned that you would be able to come into school to talk to us and I am thinking that this would be really good as we will be thinking about Passover in March. It would be great if you could show us some of the ways that you celebrate this. Perhaps you could let me know how you would feel about this.
Many thanks, Jane
