Chanucah Service

On12th December, 2015 at 6.30 pm there was a short Havdalah service followed by a Chanucah Kiddush of beigels, and the traditional latkes and doughnuts, special to Chanucah.  A most enjoyable evening was had by all. After conducting the Havdalah service, Rabbi Elf invited members of the congregation to help with the lighting of several Chanukiyah, after which everyone enjoyed partaking of the Kiddush, expertly prepared as usual by Diana Miller and the Ladies' Guild.  We  then discussed the U.N.'s resolutions which were set in 1947, a year before Israel became a nation.  Then Rabbi Elf had us all playing a word game with songs, where each table had to sing the song they thought of.  This was a good way to end the evening.
