The AGM of the Synagogue Council was held on Sunday,16th July, 2017. The meeting commenced at 10.30 am and there were 20 people present. To summarise the meeting. Lewis Miller and Della Carr were re-elected to serve for another year as Co-Chairmen, Sue Lowey was elected as Vice-Chairman, Ken Phillips will continue as Hon. Treasurer. Diana Miller is to continue as Hon. Secretary with Sue Levitas as her Assistant. As Cyril Brenner had been our President for 10 years, he now has to step down according to the rules of the Constitution. He will now be Past President. Pam Marks was elected as the new President of the Synagogue. Philip Freedman was also elected to be Vice-President.
Regarding the Kol Nidre appeal, it was decided to donate the proceeds to two organisations. One is the Leo Baeck College and the second, a local charity, is the local food bank.
